I not only was sexually abused by my step-dad but when I grew up and left the house; I eventually got married...........to someone just like him. I've been divorced since April of 1989. I put up with almost 7 years of Ab*se from my ex-husband, too ~~~ physical, emotional, verbal and yes even sexual.
I'm sure there are some who would say that it's not possible for sexual Ab*se in a marriage "if you're doing what you're supposed to be doing...." blah, blah, blah. But, he was into porn and I'd find magazines around the house. Later he'd try to "fulfill" what he saw in the magazines with me, and I wasn't about to give in to junk like that!!! I woke up one night to him trying to actually tie me to the bed post. I was able to get loose and get away.
Our last night together was a BIG blowout....physically. After 7 yrs, I actually hit him, for the first time. He went into the bathroom, and that's when I grabbed my daughter out of her bed and ran out the front door! I knew that night that it was over!!!!!
Well, that's it kinda in a nut shell....

And, it's well for you that you did run too sing! It isn't fair for your little daughter to grow up in such an environment, and you don't deserve that either! A woman is to be loved and cherished. The Bible tells men to cherish their wives yet this kind of thing is predominant in todays society. Why oh why do they treat their wives like that!
A wife is precious. She's been chosen to love and cherish for the rest of her life by a person then they go and Ab*se her after marriage and then cry when they lose her. Is it any wonder women run?
I am so happy you are away from him. And, I don't blame you for hitting him one little bit. I need a huggy smiley here.
