A Mean Lady: Katrina
What an awful day and night for thousands in the south. Watching news from the area all day. News film with pictures you cannot think are real.
Looking at weeks and months of slow recovery, wrecked lives.
All you can cling to are the wonderful rescue workers, saving people off of roofs and from other locations. The national guard and blessed Red Cross prepared to serve tens of hundred of meals.
Thank God for the prayers and faith of Christians. Pray for the strength and courage of our brothers and sisters in Christ among those battered residents in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and all those affected by this catastrophe.
One really good thing to hear about, churches opened up to shelter hundreds, church volunteers wanting to do anything they can to provide comfort and sanctuary for their brothers and sisters of any faith or no.
I wanted to cry with joy, hearing about the churches and the pastors and ministers going into the area to bring some spiritual solace.
Thank you, Lord, for your mercies that we have not heard, hear our prays for those whom you called home to You, take our hearts to give love to those who need us. In Thy service, guide our footsteps, our actions, our thoughts and our hearts forever. Amen
